A teenage volleyball player from Kazakhstan is coming under fire, but it’s not because of her skills. It’s because of her looks.

Critics say Sabina Altynbekova, 17, is so beautiful that it’s a distraction to the sport. Even the athlete’s own coach admites his team is increasingly about one player, at least as far as the fans are concerned.

“It is impossible to work like this,” Nurlan Sadikov, coach of the nation’s under-19 team, told Tengrin News in a quote translated by the Daily Mail. “The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship.”

Fans have come from thousands of miles around to watch Sabina play and her Facebook Fan Page has gained hundreds of thousands of followers.
